Daddy Daughter Dance
On Friday night, Tess and Damon went to the Daddy Daughter Dance at Shrine. I got to go too since I was signed up to volunteer. Not sure if that was a good thing or not since clearly, Dads are much more oblivious to silly acting little girls on the verge of giving each other concussions making it necessary for a Mom to step in. They all kind of looked at me like, "who invited you anyway?"
Tess had fun. Damon got her a little corsage which was fine and dandy until Tess realized she was supposed to wear it for the whole night. Um, we should have just shackled a big ball and chain to her wrist instead. Corsage = instant funk. Needless to say, Damon carried it for most of the evening.
This sort of sums up the interaction between Dads and girls at the dance

Tess' class
I volunteered in Tess' classroom today for a bit to help with their "Arts and Scraps" day. They made bugs out of recycled material scraps.
Yes, Tess' bug has bows
How'd this guy get in here? no, he didn't get to go to school

More catch up...
In an effort to get us all caught up, here are some pictures dating back to Thanksgiving, when we went to Chicago. If you recall, we posted about the Thanksgiving Day parade, but that's about it!
While we were in Chicago, we visited Aunt Sally and Uncle Mike... and their kitties. Too bad the girls don't like cats.
At the Palmer House
We also went to the Children's Museum at Navy Pier
A few weeks later was the annual Santa race at the Flint Y
On my birthday, we went to Greenfield Village to have dinner with Santa and go to the Holiday Nights
I'm not really sure why Meena didn't choose this for her Christmas cards this year... ?
Somebody turned her frown upside down when the horse carriage arrived to take us to dinner
We made an ornament before dinner
Lame Santa and lamer Mrs. Claus
I'm not sure why Meena didn't choose this picture either!
Tess can't beat Mom at the pouty face no matter how hard she tries
And now, we have NORA's BIRTHDAY!!!!
Squirt even wrote Nora a note to celebrate the occasion
It was a Snow White themed affair. No, Nora didn't wear pajamas for her party... it's just that she got a Snow White nightgown and had to immediately put it on.
Hey, who let him in here?
Some from Christmas Eve...
Nora in bed on Christmas Eve with her new towel from Aunt Sally and her new pillow pet from Uncle Mark
Christmas morning
ALLLL the Cushman cousins
For New Years, we went to Traverse City with Papa Art, Grandma Muriel and Uncle Mark
Sledding in Traverse City
And since then, we've gone sledding at home!
