Christmas cookies!

Yesterday, Meena came over to make Christmas cookies!  Tess had fun decorating and eating.  Nora, on the other hand, had fun just eating. 

Holiday Nights

Tonight we went to Greenfield Village's Holiday Nights.  So festive and fun.  Except for Nora who screamed her head off for what seemed like an eternity for about the first 20 minutes.  She wasn't a fan of the multiple layers of clothes she had to wear - especially the holiday sweater.  Or her snowpants.  Or her boots.  Or her gloves.  Definitely not the gloves.  Or the fact that she was forced to sit in the stroller.  Did I mention she HATES the sweater?

This is angelic compared to what we were dealing with minutes before.

Oh, the wonders of a cookie.

After what seemed like an eternity of deliberation, Tess got a snowman cookie. As you can see, she also has a little shiner on her left eye (she hit heads with another little girl at school), but it really only makes its appearance in pictures.  In person, it's hardly noticeable.

Still no gloves, but at least we found our pockets.

No, we didn't see Santa... but we did go on a horse-drawn wagon ride and sang Christmas carols with a guitar player on the wagon.  At least some of us sang, anyway.  Tess refused to open her mouth even though she knew every song.  After we got off and I asked her why she didn't sing, she replied, "Because I really couldn't think about it then."  Oh, right.  Of course.

We even watched part of a silent movie on benches around a fire.  Pretty cool.

Tess' Christmas Musical

Tonight, Tess had her very special Christmas Musical at school!  She did so good!  Little did we know that we needed to camp out the night before to get prime seating in front of the stage.  Meena got there 20 minutes early and we still had the back row.  Good thing Tess sang loud!

BFF update

We are way behind in our BFF recaps... not only did we celebrate sweet Kadie's 5th birthday, we also met up for a special visit to The Henry Ford Museum to see the Wizard of Oz exhibit.
