Happy Valentine's Day!

Today, Tess' preschool class had a Valentine Tea date for all the moms. It was extra special as we got sit at our own table together (Tess and me) and Tess had some gifts waiting that she made herself! I loved every minute!

Here is a video of Tess and her class singing (and signing!) a song for all of the moms.

It was also Tess' Valentine party for her class and she got to pass out special Valentines to all of her friends.  She picked out Disney princess cards with suckers at the store.  For her teacher, Mrs. Vieregge, she decided to make an extra-special handmade Valentine...

And now transitioning to a completely unrelated matter, here are a few pictures of Tess and Nora's photo secret shoot that they had tonight.  I found these on my iPhone.  Tess was obviously the photographer while Nora was her slave, er, muse.

Have I seen this face before?

Yes, the poor ragamuffin baby was pant-less with a terribly runny nose... was anyone watching her??  Oh yes, Tess was!

Happy Valentine's Day to all!
XOXO

Happy Birthday, Papa!

Today is Papa's birthday!  We celebrated by having a little party for him at his house, followed by a girls' sleepover there.  Papa was happy to have his girls with him.  We made him rice krispie treats too!

Groundhog Day

 Crafts by Tess

In a most ironic (and miserable) fashion, it really has been Groundhog Day around here lately.  Last week, Nora came down with the flu pretty hard.  She missed three days of daycare.  Then I got it on Sunday and was down for the count a good part of the week.  Next came Damon.  Then Tess.  I'll spare everyone the horrific details.  I've had enough!

Tonight, on actual Groundhog Day, I took Tess and Nora to dinner at the local coney island (Tess' personal fav) to get them out of the house and away from Damon.  This was just after Damon came down with the bug and before Tess fell victim.  It was the idea to save Tess, but little did I know that it was a lost cause and we were doomed from the get-go.  Anyway, on our way out of the restaurant, I was paying and the girls were near the door waiting to leave.

Tess:  "Mom!  I see Nora's shadow in the window!"  (Nora was pressed against the door staring at the crane machine in the foyer.)
Me:  "Yep, I see it too."
Tess:  "Do you know what that means?  Six more days of winter!"
