Ten months old today!

Tess is 10 months old today! She is cruising everywhere and will be walking in no time. She is getting so used to the idea of walking that it seems like she sometimes forgets and thinks that she can just walk away... she'll take off and then fall. As for her tooth, it is really coming in now. And there has been LOTS of drool lately, so maybe another is trying to break free.

For this birthday bear photo shoot, we introduced Tess' newest friend, Elmo. Tess' new MOST favorite thing is the "Best of Elmo" DVD. She goes NUTS for it. So much that even while just changing the channels on the TV, she gets excited as the screen will go blank for a second and she thinks that we are switching over to the DVD player. Seriously. I am nervous that any day now a study will come out saying that this DVD employs hypnosis techniques. Tess may be a candidate for rehab at the ripe age of 10 months.

Once Grandma Geraldine and Great-Grandma Mary learned of Tess' newest fascination, they bought Tess a few DVDs to watch at their house. When they put one in for Tess to watch, Tess got all excited until she realized that she had been duped and that it wasn't her beloved Elmo DVD. Tess wanted no part of the imposer DVD. Grandma Geraldine then told Tess that she was being high maintenance. Tess told her to get used to it as this is only the beginning.

Finally, her DVD has come to life!

"Can you believe it?!" exclaims Tess.

Tess decides to give Elmo some lovin',
much to the jealous Birthday Bear's dismay.

The Birthday Bear is stunned and speechless that Tess
would two-time him right in front of his face.
And in front of the carmera, no less.

Apparently, Elmo must have tried to bite Tess' ear,
because she can't get away from him fast enough.

Obviously the Bear isn't waiting for Tess to get rid of
Elmo as he decides to take matters into his own hands and offs both Tess and Elmo at once.
"They deserve one another," he thinks.

Tess is victorious.

Tess is bewildered by the Bear's mad skills of climbing back onto the couch so fast. "How did he do that?", she ponders. However, she is a tad annoyed that he is pretending like nothing happened. What nerve.
